This summer I'll be devoting serious attention to art projects. In addition to my comic i've struck up a little business with johnny and roger of t-shirt making. I have one print of some lions together. I recently got a book on deep ocean animals, and my are they amazing! some really neat t-shirts should be up for sale soon, and i'll post the images up here.

Another thing johnny and i talked about was having a art show, with our own art. This is actually something i've never thought of. I never imagined my art as being able to take up a whole room for their availability of purchase. Seems so egotistical! ha. After looking at these amazing deep sea creatures, i want to do some large paintings of them on canvas. I think it could turn out well.

I also don't think i'll be getting a dog this summer 8^(. No one really seems that interested in taking on the chores and time for one, and I really can't own a dog myself without become frustrated with the enjoyment for all but personal stress for me. So it'll just be molly for a while, until another option comes along. I do like rabbits. Part of the problem is molly, who just can't seem to get along with any other animal.

Well i hope you all like it. It seems i can only get an issue out every year or so. I seemed particularly exhausted getting through with this one. I don't know why. But it's good! ha.

Well i got my AFA (associate of fine arts) in the mail today. I felt pretty good about it. I'm even going to try not thinking about my poor painting i worked so hard on being shat on by garret with his paint brush. He will probably go over everything i tried to finalize on the painting i've been posting here of the grcc common grounds. The worst part is he's actually going backwards in with the completeness of the painting, yet assures me it will be done in a month. It maddens me most of the time, and saddens me other time... sigh. I'll get a photo of it when it's complete.

In other news, Obama got the approval of Mr. Kennedy, and myself! I've been reading new yorker articles on both and hearing snippets of their policies here and there, and i have to say, i think Obama is more liberal and honest. I also think he's not afraid to go with a gut feeling even if it contradicts government practice of how to solve things. So in this sense i think he's the most liberal and most like my ideal choice of Kucinich.

this was too hilarious. Roger and i laughed almost non stop.

My mom just got a letter from the library stating that she could be in big trouble if they find out she's been making fradulant charges and claims against the library. Prison time! She was shaking, i was told, when she read the letter yesterday.

About a month ago the library decided to fix the alarm system during open hours in the morning, and consequently the alarm kept going off and annoying people for a couple weeks. Well one day there was a louder alarm going off that made it difficult to even talk to patrons. As it came from the security room right in the main lobby, my mom walked over to shut the door and muffle the sound. in doing so her ears were shocked by the loud noise and have hurt ever since, although the discomfort is slowly going away. She has been badgering our human resources director ever since but he seems very unwilling to help her at all. In fact he has been telling her that it was just a normal alarm, and that there's no way the noise could hurt her ears. An obvious implication that she's faking pain i.e. crazy woman. My mom has won two grievances made to the library, and she thinks someone has been told specifically to put the kibash on any other attempt to complain.

Since i was actually working that day i have to now testify on my mom's behalf. I don't really want to get into this whole thing, but i guess i will. I can't believe the library would treat their employees this way.

In other news, it's been mentioned that Ruby might live with us. I'm sure right now this is only an option she might persue if she's willing, so i won't go further into it. God knows she might as well be living here! haha. This is certainly the only way we'd be able to accomodate 7 people in a six bedroom house. Get your partners to move in! Terry is also having his girlfriend live with us in the spring time. Yes, soon we'll have our warren...

Well, with school. I'm heading into my second week of gvsu, and i am hopeful. Grand Valley really is a college to me, and i don't think GRCC really offered much of that. It has a nice openess to it that is fun to explore. I can imagine doing crazy things there like sleeping under trees in the summer, or playing elaborate games there with bows and arrows. It's a very odd society set up people only my age, give or take a few years.

Jennica has moved into our house, and boy has it been the cleanest in years. Maybe ever! haha. We've set up a calendar of chores by the month. this month i have the den to clean up.

Roger and I have begun many creative projects with Johnny, our roommate. i think we have a good chance of getting these projects off the ground. so far we have a band and a t-shirt business. We've got some neat ideas for shirts. I think it would be great to take these images and just make them band shirts as well. People love band shirts! haha, i know i do.

I'm working on my third issue of Twin Devils. It's actually all written, inked, and done. I just have to scan and print off copies. I'm very excited about this issue, and i'm hopeful that issue four will follow quickly, since i wrote them around the same time. If anyone thinks making a little comic is not exhausting, you are wrong. I think i'll have an online version available as well as the original.

I'm thinking about teen week already. I really want to play some songs with roger when we get there, and introduce creative games for us to play. Teen week is loaded with downtime, and people are very willing to participate in events, so i'd like to use that.

Well Jason, our longest standing roommate moved out this month to live with his girlfriend. Good for him. We're going to be having Jennica from GRCC that roger and i know move in with us Jan. 6th or so. Jennica is fun and we got to play dance dance revolution at our house for the first time. What a tough game! I almost fell over two times. We'll see how this girl holds up with five other guys! I think we're getting cleaner though. Don't you?

The painting had a wrench thrown in my plans when Nick, my painting instructor, said that the people will still have an eye level perspective to them, even though the benches i put in do not do this at all. After much brain wracking i have found out what i did wrong, and will have to correct it. the good thing is everything will tie in better now, and i can keep one of the benches, i think ....

Besides that, Christmas is coming up. Oh, and i'm still biking! two months longer than last year. Pretty sweet-o.

Pretty excited! I'm almost done with the background. almost all of the final coating I applied. 8^D

so i got accepted into gvsu. That's a relief. We'll see what classes i can get for the winter semester. I've decided to wait until spring, and then get a dog. at some other point i'll get another rabbit, but i'll have to wait on that. I'm hosting a show on my birthday this sunday. 24!

My parents are beggining to be worried over my prolonged single status. When i went to their house to see the rock garden they constructed, they interrogated me. My dad was intent on solving it that very night...

"who are you interested in right now?"
"which relationship was your best?"

we laughed over picking Anne.

but i do think about this periodically, and i literally can't think of an answer as to who i'd work well with. Part of this may come from not having enough female friends! I need to hang out with this so called "opposite sex". Get to know them... UNDERSTAND them...

...what's their weaknesses...?

My parents were flabbergast when i decided that Emily and i wouldn't work out as well as we would want. Roger said i was hasty! You have to let a relationship stew for a while. Maybe that's true. I don't know! It's tough catching those girls. The hunter becomes the hunted. Sometimes i have no idea why one girl will appear to like me, and another will not.
